January 2010 Update
Greetings,
January is almost over and all should be able over writing 2009 when they write dates now. We are well into our session and we are using this session as a "refresher" course on all we have learned so far. Let's focus on basics and firm foundations. As far as scheduling, we are going to make Fridays "Sparring nights". We will continue to sparr and merge both classes into one. We will also use the time for workout drills. We will not use that night for requirements though. I encourage all to come in around 1700 and be ready as soon as possible. Students can use their time before and after class to work on their skills and I encourage them to do so.
We finished the final testing and everyone did well. Congratulations again to al who tested before Christmas and last week.

Good Day!
Work is still continuing on getting the student area together on stjokarate.com. I hope to have all of the student requirements on there soon. We are also planning a testing either the end of March or first part of April. I will have word out on that soon. New shirts have been made so if you would like to get one, get with me and I will get orders in soon. Cost is $9.00. Classes with the Home School Association start this week in addition to a new session at the YWCA.

Opening Statement
Greetings,
This is the blog site of The St. Joseph Missouri chapter of Mushim-Do. Mushim-Do is an eclectic martial art style that focuses on the study of martial arts as a path of artistic expression. Our goal is to use the martial arts as a medium for enrichment, artistic expression, and health. More about the site can be found at http://www.stjokarate.com/ . This blog is a place that students, instructors, and parents of mushim-do, or any martial art can come together and share ideas and experiences. The goal is to enhance our own experience of the martial arts, and of life in general, through sharing our circumstances, and views. All I ask is that all posts are kept in a positive light. We have enough things in life to tear us down, I want some place where we can build each other up. If you must create a negative place, you are welcome to create your own blog. The other thing that I ask is to use proper language. This is a family oriented blog,,,,nuff said. Thank you for abiding by these requests.
